Indian Pools Trail

Accessible from the China Peak parking lot up near Huntington Lake, this trail follows Big Creek upstream with a variety of pools along the way. The difficulty of this trail largely depends on how far upstream you intend to hike. With a starting elevation above 7,000 feet, this trail receives a lot of annual snowfall, which conceals many parts of the trail even after the snow has melted. As long as you follow the creek, you won’t get lost, however be prepared to cut your own path if necessary.
